Job Title: Facility Project Manager (Construction)

Location: Vienna, VA (100% onsite, Mon–Fri, 7:00am–3:30pm EST)

Duration: 4-month contract (covering employee on medical leave)

Experience Required: 5–10 years

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management (Military experience as an officer in a comparable field is acceptable)
  • Proven experience managing construction/facility projects through full lifecycle
  • Ability to read architectural/engineering drawings and understand building codes, ADA, and compliance standards

Certifications (Not Required but a Plus):

  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • FMP (Facility Management Professional)
  • SMA (Systems Maintenance Administrator)
  • FMA (Facility Management Administrator)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end facility project execution (design, construction, renovation, QA, turnover)
  • Manage teams and vendors: contractors, engineers, architects, and inspectors
  • Maintain budgets, schedules, and quality standards
  • Secure permits and ensure code and compliance adherence
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external authorities (AHJs)
  • Prepare RFPs, review contracts, and monitor vendor performance
  • Generate and present status reports and project documentation to stakeholders

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Leading construction and facilities projects in commercial or institutional settings
  • Experience in planning, estimating, contract administration, and inspections
  • Strong skills in project documentation, team leadership, and problem-solving
  • Familiarity with codes, regulations, ADA standards, and compliance frameworks
  • Proficiency with project management tools, stakeholder communication, and reporting
