UTG Universaltechnik GmbH in Graz seeks an Experienced EIC engineer (m/f/d) to support planning stages from concept to tendering and to coordinate interfaces between EIC and other trades during project execution.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in electrical engineering, automation technology or mechatronics, has 5+ years in industrial plant engineering, and will travel to our sites in Graz, Vienna and Kirchbichl. German Fluency required.

To this end, we are looking for EIC engineers (m/f/d) who will provide support on projects during the planning stage – primarily in the concept engineering, basic engineering and tendering phases – and who will be responsible for liaising between EIC and the other trades during project implementation.

Tasks

In the planning phase, you will mainly support projects during the concept engineering, basic engineering and tendering stages; in project delivery, you will be responsible for the interfaces between EIC and the other trades.

• Development of basic concepts in the fields of EIC, low-voltage and medium-voltage technology for industrial plants (e.g. chemical, pharmaceutical, paper and pulp)
• Definition of interface concepts
• Preparation of technical specifications for electrical and automation components (switchgear, field devices, cabling, power distribution)
• Preparation of specifications, material and equipment specifications
• PLC programming and integration into existing control systems
• Review and evaluation of supplier quotations (technical and financial)
• Definition of test requirements, FAT/SAT specifications and acceptance criteria
• Support and supervision of the relevant tests, inspections and commissioning
• Support with cost calculations and collaboration with the process engineering and mechanical design departments
• Involvement in risk analyses (HAZOP, SIL)
• Technical coordination with project management, clients and external partners

Requirements

You have relevant technical training and at least 5 years’ professional experience in planning and project management within the plant engineering sector.

• Completed a degree in electrical engineering, automation technology or mechatronics (university, university of applied sciences, higher technical college, etc.)
• at least 5 years’ professional experience in industrial plant engineering (EIC and/or electrical engineering)
• in-depth knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. ATEX, IEC 61511, EN/IEC standards, the Machinery Directive)
• Experience in basic engineering, technical tendering and PLC programming
• A structured, independent approach to work and good communication skills
• Native-level proficiency in German
• Willingness to travel to our sites in Graz, Vienna and Kirchbichl
