About our company

China Telecom (Australia) Pty Ltd (CTAU) was established in January 2011 as one of overseas subsidiaries of China Telecom Global (CTG). Its inception was another important milestone in CTG expansion in the Asia Pacific region. With continuous business growth, CTAU has set up branches in Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane successively apart from the headquarter in Sydney.

CTAU makes full use of the international network and rich resources of China Telecom to actively develop its Enterprise business, providing a long list of diversified ICT integration services and industry solutions in Australia.

About this role

We are seeking a brilliant, proactive and hardworking account manager for the CTAU Enterprise business team, based in Brisbane or Perth. The candidate should be willing and prepared for frequent travel.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Exploring new customers in QLD and WA, particularly in the Energy and Mining Industry.
  2. Customizing solutions for enterprise customers based on CT global network and CTAU ICT capabilities.
  3. Maintaining and developing long-term win-win relationships with existing and potential enterprise customers.
  4. Achieving business development by making good use of all kinds of channels and methods (including attending business events, cold calls, business referral, LinkedIn, digital marketing, etc.).
  5. Taking leadership on opportunity digging, proposal consolidation, contract negotiation, and contract signing. Assisting with service provisioning and after-sales support to ensure the project meets our commitments.
  6. Keeping active self-learning to catch up with the fast pace of technology change and innovation.
  7. Managing and documenting sales pipelines, customer profiles, industry solutions, etc., according to company requirements.

About you

  1. Ideally with rich industry experience in the energy and mining industry, or have a broad customer base and enterprise customer account manager experience in the IT industry.
  2. Sound understanding of telecommunication services and ICT solutions (IP networking, cloud, security, etc.).
  3. Self-motivated, result-oriented, customer-focused, quick to learn, and hardworking.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proficient in face-to-face, verbal, and written English.
  5. Proven sales records and account manager background preferred.
  6. Good teamwork spirit and skills.
