Job Title: Enterprise Java Developer / Architect

Clearance Required: Public Trust - US Citizenship required for Federal Client

Work Location: Remote, Washington, DC

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Enterprise Java Developer / Architect for a remote position on a federal project in Arlington, VA. US Citizenship is required by the federal agency.

Candidate Background: Experience in federal or large commercial sectors, including financial, insurance, or banking, with a focus on user experience, usability, client interaction, and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, upgrade, test, implement, and document software components.
  • Work independently or within teams throughout all development phases.
  • Communicate with end users, analysts, and designers to determine requirements and solutions.
  • Enhance applications using leading software principles.
  • Document technical specifications and designs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
  • Follow established standards and participate in code reviews.
  • Adhere to change control processes.
  • Write and revise operational and user documentation.
  • Define requirements and develop automated business solutions.
  • Lead development teams or projects.
Required Qualifications:
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 10+ years in Java application development and solutions architecture.
  • Knowledge of hardware, software, and dependencies.
  • Experience migrating applications to Azure.
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps and Microsoft TFS.
  • Strong skills in ADF/JSF/JavaScript, JavaBeans/EJB, Ant/Maven, Git.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud and Cloud.Gov environments.
  • Experience with Oracle Databases and WebLogic servers.
  • Ability to work with technical and business teams.
  • Knowledge of SDLC, IT governance, and operations.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Salary and Benefits:

Estimated salary range: $105,027 - $200,000, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include PTO, paid federal holidays, health/dental/life insurance, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, and professional development reimbursement.
