SOUTHERN COMMUNITY OPTIONS is part of Barossa Enterprises, a not-for-profit NDIS provider servicing the Barossa, Clare Valley, Riverland and McLaren Vale regions. We deliver supports that build capacity building, develops skills and engages the community.

From 1 November 2025 we are launching services under the new Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program. We want to create real employment opportunities for young people with Autism across Mount Barker, McLaren Vale and Seaford. There will also be outreach activities in Victor Harbor for a small caseload. We’ve been working in the space through NDIS Employment supports for some time and we’d love to talk to you about being part of this new chapter and how you can help us build something innovative and impactful.

About the role

As an Employment Mentor, you will play a key role in shaping this new program. You will work directly with participants to overcome barriers, build confidence and secure meaningful, sustainable employment.

What you will do

  • Connect with Jobseekers: Build strong partnerships to understand a participants employment goals, strengths and support needs, helping them navigate their career journey.
  • Create Tailored Pathways: Design personalised and meaningful employment plans, that are supported by pre-employment coaching to build confidence and job-readiness.
  • Partner with Employers: Collaborate with inclusive employers to uncover opportunities and match candidates in roles with long-term meaning.
  • Support Long-Term Success: Provide ongoing post-placement coaching, mentoring and workplace support for both employees and employers.
  • Ensure Workplace Inclusion: Address workplace adjustments, deliver training, and help foster inclusive, thriving workplaces.
  • Commit to Quality and Compliance: Maintain accurate records and meet all IEA program requirements to ensure high-quality, accountable service delivery.

About you

Full-time positions are available across our Mount Barker, McLaren Vale and Seaford locations. Also, due to our Outreach Program in Victor Harbor we welcome applications from candidates in that area.

Mandatory qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Employment/Community Services or related field (preferred)
  • DHS Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
  • National Police Check (NPC) (or willing to obtain)
  • Full Drivers Licence, Driver History Check from within the last 12 months
