Your Role at Cabot

Cabot Corporation is seeking a GBS Regional Manager, Logistics & Packaging to join the logistics team at one of the EMEA Cabot office locations.

The GBS Regional Logistics & Packaging Procurement Manager is responsible to actively manage all Logistics & Packaging procurement activities in the Region.

The role provides strategic and tactical services to all business segments in Cabot for transportation, warehousing and Packing procurement.

It’s also responsible for delivering innovative and sustainable logistics and procurement packaging solutions that enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Creating value through strategic sourcing, advanced technology, and a commitment to environmental responsibility, supporting the overall success and growth of Cabot.

In addition, this role is in charge of best-in-class supplier performance management, supplier life cycle management and supplier quality assessment.

The role provides market intelligence to internal stakeholders and is the go-to person for all strategic Logistics and Packaging matters.

This role has full budget (≈EUR 80m) and supplier management responsibility, and it is actively engaging with business to meet customer needs.

This role can be based at one of the following Cabot locations: Switzerland, Belgium, France, Italy, Germany, Latvia or Netherlands and is eligible to participate in Cabot’s Flexible Working Arrangement/hybrid program.

• Consistently meet business requirements by securing logistics, warehousing, and packaging materials at optimal cost, quality, and standards.
• Excel at supplier negotiations and uncover cost-saving opportunities while ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
• Proactively monitor and analyze market trends within transportation, logistics, and packaging categories to support strategic decision-making.
• Efficiently manage procurement processes for transportation, logistics, and packaging, ensuring timely and accurate data in procurement systems.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects, enhancing global and regional supply chain workflows while supporting product management and site initiatives for new packaging activities.
• Apply creativity and innovative thinking to optimize procurement and logistics solutions.
• Utilize lean management principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Drive digitalization and innovation to enhance procurement and supply chain processes.

What You Will Bring to Cabot

• Have a commercial degree (BBA/MBA).
• Experienced in running regional RFQ’s for packaging material and transportation in B2B & chemical industry.
• Strong network in Packaging EMEA.
• Good technical understanding of Packaging, Packaging design and technology.
• Bring at least 10 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse and packaging procurement.
• Well experienced in the Global, EMEA Logistics & Packaging markets.
• Be fluent in English (written and verbal). German, French or Dutch as second language is preferable, but not a must.
• Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Show dynamism, motivation and a proactive approach to professional growth.
• Work independently towards set goals.
• Possess project management, planning, and organizational capabilities.
• Be an excellent networker and understand the importance of stakeholder management with technical and commercial people.
• Have good knowledge of accounting, finance and data analytics.
• Experience with JDE as ERP is a plus.
• Experience in the chemicals or industrial sector on the shipper side.
