SBM Offshore is seeking an Electrical Engineer for its Austrian operation in Kärnten, Lavamünd. The role focuses on designing reliable electrical systems, adhering to international codes, and delivering comprehensive electrical deliverables for offshore projects.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics engineering and 0–5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas. AVEVA E&I experience is a plus, and the position is based on site in Austria.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics engineering from a recognized university/college.
• 0–5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Good engineering knowledge in electrical systems.
• Knowledge of AVEVA E&I is an advantage.

Aufgaben

• Select methods and procedures, perform work, and optimize design per specifications and standards.
• Prepare electrical deliverables including philosophy, specification, datasheet, report, calculation and technical bid evaluation report.
• Plan and complete activities and deliverables within agreed time frame and ensure system interfaces.
• Ensure scope of work meets contractual and SBM internal requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and internal teams to meet project needs.

• As Electrical Engineer, you are responsible for designing and engineering reliable, cost-effective, and safe engineering solutions that support the projects and the organization's operational and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the selection of methods and procedures, performance of the work, and optimization of the design within the scope of the specifications, in compliance with international codes, company and industry standards and regulations (IEC, IEEE, Classification Societies and local regulations).You prepare electrical engineering deliverables including philosophy, specification, datasheet, report, calculation and technical bid evaluation report.
• You are responsible for planning and completing activities and deliverables within agreed time frame, as well as for ensuring system interfaces.
• You ensure that your scope of work is delivered in accordance with both the contractual requirements and SBM’s internal requirements.
• You ensure applicable lessons learnt are used, understanding the change impact within and across project system boundaries.
• You work with Lead, Engineers and Designers both within and outside the discipline to determine project needs and performance levels and safeguard the Company’s interests.
• You coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and third parties, in accordance with contractual requirements and SBM’s internal requirements.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics engineering from recognized university/college.

Experience

• 0 to 5 years experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Good engineering knowledge in electrical systems.
• Knowledge of integrated database software (AVEVA E&I) will be an advantage.
