Jobbeschreibung
Overview

Leicon Notley is a proudly family-owned company with over 38 years of experience delivering complex water infrastructure projects across Western Australia. Renowned for our technical capability and strong industry relationships, we continue to grow as a leader in the design and construction of multidiscipline, predominantly brownfields projects.

As part of our expansion, we are looking for a skilled and driven professional to oversee and support the electrical, instrumentation, controls and commissioning aspects of our infrastructure works.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the General Manager, this senior role will be responsible for managing electrical and control systems design, installation, testing, commissioning and documentation across a range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

You’ll work closely with our internal engineering teams, project managers and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high technical standard.

Leicon Notley is supported by LEC, our in-house electrical and controls division, highly regarded for its technical capability and quality manufacturing of switchboards and panels. While LEC provides specialist services, much of the on-site electrical work on Leicon Notley projects is delivered by external subcontractors under our management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the electrical and control system components of multidiscipline projects from design through to commissioning.
  • Collaborate with project managers, internal teams and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration across disciplines.
  • Liaise with client engineering and commissioning representatives.
  • Review and contribute to subcontract documentation and supplier management.
  • Provide detailed design input where required, based on preliminary concepts.
  • Plan and manage electrical shutdowns and interface works.
  • Lead commissioning and final handover activities for project completion.
  • Support tender preparation and contribute technical insights as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality and engineering standards.
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years’ experience in electrical and/or controls project engineering.
  • Solid understanding of both electrical systems and automation/control systems.
  • Proven experience with shutdowns, commissioning and on-site coordination.
  • Strong communication, documentation and problem-solving skills.
  • A collaborative and adaptable mindset.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Experienced tradespersons and technicians in electrical or instrumentation are also encouraged to apply.
  • Hands-on experience managing electrical and controls subcontractors.
  • Previous exposure to water infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with electrical construction, testing and commissioning practices.
  • Knowledge of AS3000 and relevant safety requirements.
  • Experience with Siemens and Schneider PLCs, ClearSCADA and related systems.
  • Understanding of VSDs, backup generators, solar PV systems and power distribution.
  • Estimating experience in electrical/I&C scopes.
  • Willingness to travel within regional WA for short-term project needs.
  • Desire for long-term, permanent employment with a dedicated, high-performing team.
