Job summary
Quantum Technology Laboratories GmbH in Vienna is seeking a hands-on Electrical & Automation Technician to take an electrical schematic to a working control panel. You will design, build, wire and commission compact cabinets with power supplies, a PC, a safety PLC and relays, and develop the PLC programs required to operate them.
A apprenticeship in electrical engineering, mechatronics or automation (HTL) is expected; a university degree is not required.
Qualifications
- Apprenticeship in electrical engineering, mechatronics or automation, or equivalent training.
- A university degree is not required.
- Experience with control panel assembly and wiring.
- Ability to create and interpret electrical schematics.
- Experience programming and troubleshooting PLC applications; safety logic is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Electrical design: Schematics, cabinet layouts, BOMs, terminal plans; size components and wiring.
- Panel assembly and wiring: Install components, route cables, label equipment.
- PLC programming: Develop, troubleshoot small PLC applications; implement safety-related logic.
- Testing and commissioning: Electrical checks, functional tests, fault diagnosis, safety validation.
- Documentation and improvements: Maintain as-built drawings and backups; improve future builds.
