Offer Description

• Full Time (40 h/w)
• € 50,000* gross/year – Position limited until 31.10.2026 (maternity replacement, extension t.b.d.)

Your Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the cryo-EM equipment, including troubleshooting technical issues
• Monitor systems, perform regular system checks, including system alignment to guarantee high-quality performance
• Conduct training, assistance, on-site support, and supervision of researchers
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures
• Contribute to the development of methodology at the EM facility

Your Profile

• Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Structural Biology, or Physics, with proven cryo-EM hands-on experience
• Practical experience in cryo-EM applications: sample preparation, electron tomography, SPA data collection, cryo-EM data processing
• Strong computational skills related to cryo-EM data collection and processing software
• Excellent team player with the ability to work independently
• Reliable, organized, and interpersonal skills
• Service-oriented approach in a multidisciplinary environment
• Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills in English
