About the role

This full-time Dispatch Manager role offers an exciting opportunity to join a leading manufacturing and logistics company at their Truganina, VIC office. The Dispatch Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient and timely dispatch of products to customers, ensuring the smooth operation of the company's distribution network.

What you'll be doing
  • Manage and coordinate the daily dispatch operations and delivery scheduling
  • Oversee a team of dispatch staff, providing leadership, training, and performance management
  • Analyse dispatch data and metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
  • Liaise with sales, production, and customer service teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
  • Maintain and enhance dispatch policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Monitor transportation and logistics providers to ensure service levels are maintained
  • Identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks in the dispatch process
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the logistics and distribution function
What we're looking for
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a dispatch or logistics management role, preferably within the manufacturing or transportation industry
  • Strong understanding of dispatch management, freight control, and distribution best practices
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Proficient in the use of logistics management software and data analysis tools
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant industry regulations, safety, and compliance requirements
