The Position

We are seeking a motivated Civil Project Manager/Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing civil construction projects or collaborating with senior team members, with aspirations to advance to a Project Manager role through personal and professional growth. This position may suit a candidate aiming to expand their project management career or a graduate engineer seeking career development in civil construction. The role operates under the supervision of senior Project Managers, with potential progression to Junior Project Manager roles.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage civil construction projects from planning through to completion.
2. Develop and maintain project schedules and allocate resources effectively.
3. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and regulations.
4. Coordinate on-site activities and supervise subcontractors.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
6. Prepare and submit progress reports and project documentation.
7. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
8. Promote continuous improvement and innovation in project delivery.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience in civil project management.
• Knowledge of wastewater and/or water main utilities is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, including CAD.
• Understanding of safety, quality, and environmental management systems.
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
