We are a successful, family-owned Tasmanian business with a strong market presence in Hobart and Launceston and clients statewide. Following a period of significant growth, we are looking to employ a senior person to lead our large team of dedicated and experienced industry professionals, including a capable management team, across our Tasmanian locations.

Our 'General Manager - Tasmania' will work with our management teams to:

1. Build on what is already a great working culture.
2. Ensure staffing levels are appropriate and in line with required operational outputs, which includes developing recruitment and training processes.
3. Implement systems to improve general operational and warehouse efficiency.
4. Ensure a consistent approach to systems/processes in all locations.
5. Monitor and improve safety systems – external and internal.
6. Perform staff reviews on a regular basis.
7. Apply adequate resources to ensure our teams can deliver outstanding client outcomes, on-time and on budget.
8. Develop project-specific operational plans.

Our successful candidate will have previously worked in a similar logistics and management role and clearly demonstrate experience in building effective teams, creating a strong culture of workplace safety and compliance, and managing complex, timely logistics solutions. They will be driven to make things better and simpler, with our client outcomes at the forefront of their work. This person will be a ‘hands-on’ type and will be respected for an attitude of viewing challenges as opportunities. They solve problems and take pride in achieving common-sense outcomes.

The 'General Manager - Tasmania' will report to the CEO and be based in Launceston. Frequent intra-state travel is part of the role, and the employment package will include superannuation, a mobile phone, and a company vehicle.
