A growing international engineering company is seeking a Head of Finance and Accounting to oversee all commercial and financial activities. As part of a planned succession and departmental restructuring, this role offers the opportunity to drive financial strategy, lead process digitalization, and guide team development at both the local and group level. The position reports directly to local executive management and functionally to Group Finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, financial reporting, and controlling functions
• Prepare and analyze annual financial statements; support audit processes
• Manage liquidity, financial forecasting, and receivables
• Oversee banking, tax matters, and regulatory compliance
• Drive process optimization, digitalization, and KPI/reporting development
• Lead cost accounting, project costing, and multi-stage billing processes
• Manage and develop a high-performing finance and administration team
• Support IT-enabled improvements in financial systems and workflows
• Collaborate with cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams at the site
• Act as key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• Degree or vocational training in finance, accounting, or business administration
• Several years of experience in a comparable leadership role, ideally in mechanical/plant engineering or project business
• Strong command of accounting, cost accounting, financial reporting, and controlling
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership and process development
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., BMD) and MS Office
• Fluent in German and English
• Analytical thinker with a structured, hands-on work approach
• Strong implementation and communication skills
