FedEx Express Swiss Post GmbH in Austria is seeking a Customs Clearance professional to join our clearance broker team. The role supports review of shipments, preparation of clearance declarations, and communication with customers and government agencies.

Hours are 1:30pm–10:15pm, Monday to Friday, in a busy office environment. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of clearance processes, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifikationen

• Experience or knowledge of clearance principles, Import/Export processes and CHIEF entries.
• Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong numerical decision abilities.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PC skills.

• Use in-house systems to create accurate and legally compliant clearance declarations.

• Contact customers by Phone or Mail in German and English in Office
• Physical cage treatment in the Warehouse.

• Reviewing shipments data to understand the exact customer and regulatory requirements and checking the accuracy and completeness of documentation supplied
• Using in-house systems to create accurate and legally compliant clearance declarations
• Contacting customers or government agencies to clarify information when needed
• Resolving routine customer and customs disputes
• Building effective relationships with our customers and helping them to choose the best suited clearance services
• Working within tight time frames in a busy office environment

What do you bring with you

• Good team working skills with experience of contributing to team performance in a busy office environment
• Experience or working knowledge of key clearance related principles, Import/Export processes and regulatory requirements, CHIEF entries and commercial flights processing is desired
• Customer focused with excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to make sound numerical decisions within tight time deadlines
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good Microsoft Office and PC skills
