Job summary

Northern Illinois University is seeking Physical Therapy Instructors to join a pool for anticipated openings at the School of Rehabilitation and Performance Sciences. Positions may be part-time or full-time, with start dates varying throughout the academic year.

Instructors will teach in classroom, clinical, and online formats, develop lesson plans, and foster a respectful, engaging learning environment for graduate students pursuing physical therapy. In-person instruction is required.

Qualifications

• DPT or MPT with certified specialization.
• Unrestricted, current license to practice physical therapy in the state of IL or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Teach face to face courses on NIU Dekalb campus and in clinical settings
• Develop lesson plans that meet provided student learning outcomes
• Establish and maintain a civil, productive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
• Support and enforce academic and administrative policies
