Duty Manager | Assistant Manager Opportunity

Beenleigh Bowls Club is looking for an experienced Duty Manager to join our close knit management team. For the right candidate with the right level of experience, this role has the opportunity to be appointed at Assistant Manager level.

This is a full time, hands on management role working 38 hours per week. We are looking for someone who is confident leading a team, compliance minded, enjoys hospitality and can comfortably mix with all walks of life.

About the Role

As part of the management team, you will be responsible for the smooth day to day operation of the Club while on shift.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting staff throughout each shift
• Overseeing day to day Club operations
• Maintaining high standards of customer service
• Ensuring gaming, liquor and Club compliance requirements are followed
• Managing opening and closing procedures
• Assisting with functions and Club promotions
• Handling member and guest enquiries
• Responding confidently to issues as they arise
• Working closely with the wider management team

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years' managerial or supervisory experience within hospitality
• Strong broader hospitality experience
• RMLV and Manager's Licence desirable
• Strong knowledge of compliance and responsible service requirements
• Confidence leading staff and making decisions while on shift
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Ability to connect with people from all backgrounds and age groups
• An interest in sport and the Club environment
• A practical, hands on management style

Availability is essential.

The management roster includes both opening and closing shifts. The Club trades until 12am, so you must be available to work nights, weekends and public holidays as required.
