Are you a strategic financial leader with a passion for making a difference?

We are seeking an experienced Director of Finance to oversee financial operations and drive sustainable impact for our not-for-profit/community programs organisation. Reporting to the CEO, you will have the opportunity to combine your financial expertise with your passion for helping others.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership: Drive financial strategy, provide insights, and advise leadership on sustainability.
2. Financial Management & Compliance: Oversee budgeting, reporting, cash flow, and ensure regulatory compliance.
3. Funding & Grants: Manage funding streams, grant acquittals, and financial reporting to funders.
4. Asset & Property Management: Plan finances for assets, monitor cash flows, and assess feasibility of new developments.
5. Risk & Sustainability: Identify financial risks, develop long-term sustainability strategies, and support organisational growth.
6. Governance & Stakeholders: Maintain strong financial governance, manage contracts, and engage with regulators and partners.
7. Team Leadership: Build a high-performing finance team and foster financial literacy across the organisation.

About you

1. CA/CPA qualification with 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience.
2. Proven track record in complex, multi-stream not-for-profit or community services environments.
3. Strong knowledge of government funding, grants management, and compliance frameworks.
4. Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and work collaboratively with senior stakeholders.
5. Strategic thinking and commercial acumen with a values-driven leadership style.
6. Solutions-focused and energised by working as part of a dynamic Executive team.
7. Passionate about making a difference in community.
