Qualifikationen

• 3+ Jahre Erfahrung als DevOps Engineer mit Schwerpunkt auf Cloud-Technologien.
• Starke Kenntnisse in Linux und Skriptsprachen wie Python oder Bash.

We are building modern, cloud-based software using constantly evolving agile and extreme practices. Independent autonomous teams build, maintain and support services which allows them to develop expertise in technology and business domains.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of an efficient continuous delivery platform, covering build, deployment and test automation as well as the provisioning of infrastructure components in cloud environments.

Java 17 and Spring Boot/Spring Cloud are our primary backend technologies with Angular 17 and Typescript in our frontend.

Job Responsibilities

• Provisioning of architecture and implementation of Kubernetes based AWS and Azure environments for customers using Terraform and Helm to perform implementation.
• Continuous conception and further development of our automated delivery processes.
• Deploy, automate, orchestrate, maintain and manage the development systems and other related infrastructure.
• Support developers, testers, and operations to automate the continuous delivery of customized software components.
• Participate in project and delivery activities.
• Improve and expand the use of our Cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, deliver and operate solutions that meet business needs.
• Communicate development and production issues to project team, vendors and management.
• Documentation of infrastructure, architecture and configuration.

Key Skills

• Experience with cloud concepts and -providers (preferably AWS/Azure), virtualization and Docker- , Kubernetes- , and OpenShift-based environments.
• Interest on security-related concepts and solutions.
• Experience with CI/CD (continuous integration, continuous delivery) pipelines and concepts and a good overview of related tools.
• Advanced Linux Know How and proficient in shell scripting or other scripting languages (i.e. Python, Bash).
• Experience with modern source code management tools (i.e. Git, BitBucket).
• Experience in designing and building of monitoring/logging/alerting capabilities in microservice based environment (i.e. Kibana, etc.).
• Very good infrastructure, networking and OS know-how.
• Analytical, result-oriented, self-organized and structured way of working as well as reliability, proactivity, curiosity and readiness to take responsibility.
• A natural confidence with your communication and team skills, while being fluent in English.

Desirable Skills

• Experience on one of the cloud providers like AWS, Azure, …
• Keda, Knative, Istio.
• ArgoCD.

Qualifications

• Degree within Computer Science / Information Technology or similar.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience as DevOps Engineer.
• Very good skills in Linux and scripting (e.g.: Shell or Python or Groovy or similar).
• Good understanding of K8s concept and hands on experience with K8s (e.: kubectl, k9s, …).
• Detailed understanding of container technology, OCI images, Dockerfile, distroless images, rootless container.
• CI/CD with Jenkins or similar, ideally JCasC.
