Silhouette International Schmied AG sucht eine/n Designer/in mit Fokus auf Industrial Design, um Trends zu identifizieren, Konzepte zu entwickeln und 2D/3D-Designs bis zum physischen Produkt zu realisieren. Sie arbeiten eng mit F&E, Prototyping und Produktion zusammen und erzählen die Designstory mit dem Team.

Qualifikationen

• Abgeschlossenes Studium Industriedesign, Produktdesign oder verwandtes Fachgebiet.
• Starkes Portfolio mit Originalität, Formgefühl und Detailgenauigkeit.
• Fähigkeit, Ideen von Konzept bis 2D/3D-Design bis zum physischen Produkt zu entwickeln.
• Erfahrung mit Adobe Creative Suite und 3D-Design-Tools wie Rhino, SolidWorks oder Äquivalent.
• Ausgeprägtes Verständnis von Form, Proportionen, Materialien und Fertigungsprozessen.
• Aufrichtigkeit gegenüber neuen Materialien, Technologien und Produktionsmethoden.
• Selbstständige, praxisnahe und lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise.
• Teamorientierte Zusammenarbeit mit Design, Engineering und Fertigung.
• Erfahrung im Eyewear-/Produkt-/Industriedesign ist von Vorteil – Potenzial und Portfolio zählen genauso.

Aufgaben

• Trendanalysen und Ableitung relevanter Designrichtungen aus Mode, Design, Materialien und Kultur.
• Konzepte, Moodboards, Skizzen und 2D/3D-Design vom ersten Entwurf bis zum physischen Produkt entwickeln.
• Mit Color Design, F&E, Prototyping und Fertigung zusammenarbeiten, um Ideen umzusetzen.
• Die Designstory erzählen und Teammitglieder, Marketing, Verkauf und Optiker begeistern.
• Mit drei Marken an zukünftigen Kollektionen arbeiten.

AUFGABEN UND VERANTWORTUNG

• Explore. Track emerging trends in fashion, design, materials, technology and culture - and turn insights into relevant design directions.
• Create. Develop concepts, moodboards, sketches and 2D/3D designs from the first idea to a tangible product.
• Shape. Work closely with Color Design, R&D, prototyping and construction to transform creative ideas into feasible, high-quality eyewear.
• Communicate. Tell the story behind your designs and inspire colleagues, marketing, sales and opticians.
• Contribute. Become part of the development of future collections across our three distinctive brands.

ANFORDERUNGEN

• A degree in Industrial Design, Product Design or a related field
• A strong portfolio demonstrating original thinking, conceptual strength, sensitivity to form and attention to detail
• The ability to develop ideas from concept and sketch through 2D/3D design to the physical product
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and 3D design tools such as Rhino, SolidWorks or equivalent
• A strong understanding of form, proportion, materials and manufacturing processes
• Genuine curiosity for new materials, technologies and production methods
• The confidence to question conventional approaches, explore new ideas and develop your own design point of view
• An independent, hands-on and solution-oriented way of working
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with design, engineering and manufacturing teams
• Experience in eyewear, product or industrial design is an advantage - but exceptional potential and a strong portfolio matter just as much

For this full-time position, we offer a minimum gross yearly salary of EUR 60,962.30 in accordance with the Austrian Collective Agreement for the Metal Industry. Depending on your qualifications and professional experience, we are happy to offer a higher salary.
