Qualifikationen

• Abgeschlossenes technisches Studium mit Schwerpunkt auf Verfahrenstechnik oder Maschinenbau.
• Mehrjährige Erfahrung im Engineering Management von Großprojekten.

Design Manager / Engineering Manager for EPCMv projects in process plant engineering (m/f/d)

Umfang: Vollzeit

In this high level position, you will be responsible for the management of all technical disciplines and the planning and execution of technical activities, thus playing a key role in the successful realisation of large-scale projects.

The scope of responsibilities includes:

1. Responsibility for the implementation of the technical concept according to the project contract
2. Execution and optimisation of the plant design in view of the project budget, schedule, company guidelines and standards as well as the customer requirements
3. Organising planning processes as well as monitoring and assessing progress and ensuring the required quality in the project
4. Responsibility for the coordination of the technical disciplines, leadership and management of the engineering team (especially with regard to resources, tasks, deadlines and costs), support of the project team with technical know-how and profound expertise
5. Development of standards and the project-specific engineering manual in coordination with the client and internal departments
6. Review and approval of services incl. suppliers for correctness and completeness as well as planning and management of FATs and SATs
7. Creation, review, updating and approval of documents
8. Monitoring and participating in the identification of project risks and the development of risk reduction plans
9. Moderation of project meetings as well as interface to the customer with regard to all technical matters

Our requirements:

1. Completed technical studies with a focus on process engineering, plant or mechanical engineering or similar.
2. Training in project management is an advantage
3. Corporate thinking and customer orientation
4. Several years of relevant professional experience in engineering management of large-scale projects, preferably in the pharmaceutical or chemical plant sector
5. Comprehensive, interdisciplinary technical know-how as well as profound knowledge and experience in the engineering of industrial projects
6. Excellent communication and organisational skills
7. Strong leadership skills and team orientation coupled with commitment and hands-on mentality
8. Very good knowledge of English, ideally very good knowledge of German
9. Willingness to travel (mainly in Europe)
