Database Administrator (f/m/d)
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise database environments, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and other database technologies
- Install, configure, and administer database solutions across our corporate infrastructure, ensuring high availability and reliability
- Plan and execute database upgrades, patches, and migrations while minimizing downtime and risk
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve database incidents to ensure stable and efficient operations
- Provide technical support and expert guidance to internal database users and stakeholders
- Partner closely with development teams to identify and implement database performance improvements and optimization strategies
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our database landscape by identifying opportunities for automation, standardization, and operational excellence
Requirements:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Several years of hands‑on experience administering SQL‑based database environments
- Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems and their administration
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts is a plus
- A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and a proactive, solution‑oriented approach
- A structured, reliable, and detail-oriented way of working, with the ability to manage priorities effectively
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- A residence in Vienna
