Erste Group is seeking a junior data manager to join the Data Management and Monitoring team within Group Credit Risk Methods. You will build and improve the data management framework and infrastructure in collaboration with IT divisions for all local entities of the group.

The role focuses on data quality, ETL, and data analysis in a hybrid SAS/Hadoop environment, with Python/PySpark prototyping and collaboration with Erste Digital. English business fluency is required.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or Computer Science or relevant professional experience.
• Experience with database query languages (SQL or HQL).
• Willingness to learn business principles of a financial institution; role is business oriented with IT focus.
• Experience with data quality and management framework and governance is an advantage.
• Experience with data processing and data analytics using Python/PySpark and data visualization (Tableau) is an advantage.

Our team "Data Management and Monitoring" is a central team in Erste Group within Group Credit Risk Methods (CRM) risk division responsible for the management of IRB and IFRS9 credit risk data necessary for the rating and risk parameter models.
We are looking for a junior data manager who can join us in building and improving data management framework and infrastructure together with our IT divisions for all local entities of the group.

Your Tasks

• Work within the data management and data quality framework within Credit Risk Methods area
• Data management in hybrid SAS/Hadoop environment developed for cross-border credit risk data sharing & risk related calculations
• Business responsible for ETL processes and metadata checks
• Ensure and maintain the business-as-usual data management and data quality processes within Credit Risk Methods area
• Perform initial data analysis on new data integrations
• Prototyping on new data quality checks in Python/pyspark and implementation into the framework with our IT counterparts from Erste Digital
• Development of SAS/Hadoop/Python environment together with Erste Digital

Your Background

• University degree (preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Finance and/or Computer Science) or relevant professional experience. A background in business analysis is an advantage
• Experience with database query languages (e.g. SQL or HQL)
• Willingness to learn business principles of the financial institution. The position is business oriented requiring high IT skills (i.e. not standard IT position)
• Experience with data quality and management framework and governance is an advantage
• Experience with data processing and data analytics using Python/PySpark and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau) is an advantage
• Business English fluency is required
