Job summary

Anton Paar GmbH in Austria is seeking a Data Engineer focused on Azure Databricks to shape a modern data platform. You will ensure data from SAP, CRM, and Salesforce is reliably integrated and prepared for analytics and reporting, enabling informed decisions across Finance, Sales, and Service.

You will design, build, and operate scalable pipelines with Azure Data Factory and Databricks, improve data quality and governance, and create documentation for architecture and data flows.

Qualifications

• Completed education in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Software Engineering, or a comparable field
• 3+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a comparable field
• Experience with Azure Databricks as well as the development of ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines
• Very good SQL skills and practical experience with Python
• Experience integrating and transforming data from various source systems, ideally SAP, CRM, or Salesforce
• Good understanding of data models and business processes, particularly in the areas of Finance, Sales, and Service
• Knowledge of Data Quality, Data Governance, and Data Security

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate, and continuously develop a modern data platform based on Azure Databricks
• Develop, implement, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other Azure services
• Integrate, transform, and provide data from various operational source systems and third‑party systems (including SAP, CRM, and Salesforce) for analytics, reporting, and data science applications
• Implement and continuously improve measures related to Data Quality, Data Governance, and Data Security while ensuring transparent and traceable data flows
• Create and maintain technical documentation covering architecture, data flows, data models, and development standards
