Koderia is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design and implement end-to-end data processes across the full data management landscape, with a strong focus on a centralized data model layer. The role requires understanding, driving, and technically implementing complex use cases, connecting multiple data components, and contributing to the overall data architecture.

Location: Primarily remote with up to 4 onsite days per month in Vienna. Start date July 25, 2026. Contract position.

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to design and implement end-to-end data processes across the full data management landscape, with a strong focus on a centralized data model layer.

The role requires the ability to understand, drive, and technically implement complex end-to-end data management use cases, connect multiple data management components, and contribute to the overall data architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-ready data pipelines.
• Design end-to-end data architecture across the data landscape, including Data Lake and Central data products serving multiple consumers.
• Develop ETL processes and execute system and integration testing within an agile development environment.
• Design ELT structures in close collaboration with the System Architecture team.
• Work as part of a Product Team organized according to the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodology.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Experience with agile software development processes and data management projects.
• Hands‑on experience working in agile software delivery teams.
• Ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly through documentation, visualization, and presentations.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Strong experience with Databricks and Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of logical and technical data architecture.
• Strong programming skills in Python including PySpark and Pandas.
• Advanced SQL knowledge.
• Experience with release management processes.
• Experience with test management.
• English is required; German language skills are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel is required.
