MED-EL in Innsbruck, Austria, is seeking a cybersecurity specialist to join the IT Cybersecurity Team. You will implement and operate security solutions across systems, networks, endpoints, and cloud environments, working closely with IT and engineering to strengthen defenses and secure operations.

• Hands-on experience in at least two areas: endpoint security, security monitoring, vulnerability management, network/infrastructure security, or cloud security.
• Experience with scripting and automation is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving, proactive and collaborative working style.
• Excellent English communication; German is a plus.

The IT Cybersecurity Team is part of MED-EL's IT department. We are responsible for protecting the company's systems, networks, and information from cyber threats. Working closely with IT and engineering teams, we strengthen security measures, manage incidents, and support secure business operations.

Your Tasks

• Implement, operate, and continuously enhance cybersecurity solutions to protect systems, networks, endpoints, and cloud environments
• Monitor, analyze, prioritize, and respond to security alerts, incidents, and emerging threats, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure secure architectures, configurations, and processes across the organization
• Support the investigation and remediation of security incidents, including incident response and forensic activities
• Automate and optimize cybersecurity processes to improve efficiency and quality

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher (University/FH) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and at least 3-4 years of professional experience in Cybersecurity, IT Security, or Security Engineering
• Hands-on experience in at least two of the following areas: endpoint security, security monitoring, vulnerability management, network and infrastructure security, or cloud security
• Experience with scripting and automation is desired
• Strong problem-solving skills, combined with a structured, proactive, and collaborative working style
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken; German language skills are an advantage

Annual gross salary from € 54,723.53, based on professional qualification and experience.
