AT&S Leoben are seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to link customers and the plant on quality topics. You will lead 8D investigations, drive corrective actions, and ensure clear communication to secure high customer satisfaction and ongoing quality improvements.

Responsibilities include coordinating 8D activities, acting as main contact for quality inquiries, and supporting global sites while traveling up to 20%. You’ll train teams on standards and represent AT&S in visits and audits.

Qualifications

• Completed technical education with proven experience in quality engineering or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of PCB manufacturing, quality management, and statistical methods.
• Experience in customer complaint management and structured problem solving (e.g. 8D).
• Excellent communication skills in English and German (written and spoken).
• Proficient with SAP and MS Office tools.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to prioritize and execute tasks.
• Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to represent the company professionally.
• Willingness to travel internationally (up to 20%).

• Conduct root cause analyses and provide rapid on-site support (within 48 hours when required).
• Maintain continuous communication with customers or AQM for complaints, deviations, and general requests.
• Support global AT&S sites in complaint handling and align with local customer requirements.
• Train and guide internal teams on customer-specific quality standards and reject analysis.
• Represent the company during customer visits, audits, and quality discussions.
• Monitor, report, and ensure completion of quality actions, including documentation and certification (e.g. EN10204).

In your role, you act as the key link between customers and the plant for all quality-related topics. You drive structured complaint handling, coordinate corrective actions, and ensure transparent communication to achieve high customer satisfaction and continuous quality improvement.

Your Profile

• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and German (written and spoken)
• Confident in working with SAP and MS Office tools
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively
• Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to represent company interests professionally
• Willingness to travel internationally (up to 20%)
