The Opportunity

Join MVSI as our new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this pivotal role, you will drive the technology strategy and innovation that powers MVSI OnBoard, the platform of choice for boarding complex business clients in regulated markets such as payments, banking and lending. Based in North Sydney, NSW, this full-time position will see you align our technology strategy with the global needs of the business. Profitable, cashflow positive, and with very strong continuing growth, we need your expertise to lead all things technology, aligned directly with the business. Our philosophy, One Team!

Key responsibilities

• This is hands on, tactical, as well as strategic, as you would expect from a rapidly growing fintech.
• Mentor and develop the technology team to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Guiding Principle 1, We love and support our people!
• Lead the technology team in designing, building, and maintaining high-performance, scalable systems, using AWS and MERN, in a global environment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure technology solutions align with business requirements. Guiding Principle 2, We love our customers!
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation, including AI as it relates to coding efficiency, and the productivity of our developers.
• Manage the technology budget and ensure optimal return on our technology investments.
• Manage the three pillars of technology: Development, Security, and IT Systems.

What we're looking for

• You'll come from a software development background, having worked your way up through the ranks.
• You get commercial SaaS, having several years under your belt in similar commercial environments.
• Extensive experience as a senior technology leader in a fast-paced, digital-first environment.
• Proven track record of managing sprints, forward deliverables, and the inevitable competing priorities.
• Excellent technical expertise across a range of modern software development tools and methodologies.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to align technology solutions with strategic goals.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise with cross-functional teams.
