Job summary

Andritz Weiz is seeking a Core Component Designer (m/f/d) for the REM R&D department. You will be the key 3D CAD designer for core components like generators, collaborating with multidisciplinary R&D teams to deliver robust, manufacturable designs.

Responsibilities include creating precise models, supporting CFD/CHT and FE simulations, and preparing BOMs for prototypes and test rigs. English and German required; travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

• Completed technical education in mechanical engineering (HTL/FH/Uni or equivalent).
• Design and mechanical calculation knowledge for large rotating electrical machines.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD with Siemens NX; Teamcenter experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; German and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key 3D CAD designer for core REM components including generators.
• Design, develop and optimize active parts such as magnetic and electric field components.
• Create precise geometry models to support CFD/FE simulations and calculations.
• Prepare high-quality 3D models, drawings and BOMs for development projects.
