Junior Contracts Manager

A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated Junior Contracts Manager for our client in the McLean, VA area.

Overview:

To support Procurement Vendor and Management (PVM), Vendor Management Operations (VMO) business objectives by identifying contracts needing performance assessment based on risk criteria and recording negotiated terms.
Ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of PVM VMO personnel, collaborate with internal PVM as well as Business Unit (BU) stakeholders to identify a backlog of contracts that may be subject to performance assessments.
Identify third-party service level agreements, regulatory requirements, reporting requirements, documentation requirements, escalation requirements and other possible negotiated terms in contracts; and record associated information in a standard template.
Build and maintain relationships with team members and key stakeholders.
Ensure clear, concise, and effective communication and documentation.
Maintain and update internal systems to ensure proper recording of contractual information in support of BU stakeholders' effectiveness in completion of performance assessments.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience in reviewing contract law/ terms/conditions.
Extensive experience in acquisition planning, strategy development, negotiations, contract.
Ability to multitask and work effectively, both independently and in a team environment, ensuring timely completion of assignments and meeting established standards.
Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Advanced organization skill and attention to detail.
Effective skill interacting tactfully and effectively in various situation.
