Jobbeschreibung

Software Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d)

Based in the EU or open to regular international travel

Applicants must have the legal right to work in the European Union

Join a team where software becomes something real.

We're looking for a Software Commissioning Engineer who thrives on bringing complex software systems to life. In this role, you won't just be writing or configuring code-you'll be part of a collaborative team that transforms tailored software into working solutions across global sites. If you enjoy problem-solving, working hands-on with technology, and seeing the tangible results of your work in the field, this could be a great fit for you.

What you'll be doing

  • Configure and tailor software systems based on individual customer requirements
  • Test and validate software in a simulation environment before deployment
  • Commission software on-site together with hardware and automation experts
  • Conduct integration and functionality tests at the client location to ensure everything runs smoothly
  • Train users and support acceptance testing, ensuring client teams are confident before go-live
  • Adapt and refine software as customer needs evolve throughout the project
  • Prepare documentation and transfer the project to operational support teams after successful deployment

What makes you a strong candidate

  • Completed technical training, apprenticeship, or degree in IT, software engineering, or a related field
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (e.g. C++, C# or Java)
  • Basic experience with relational databases (SQL or Oracle) and Linux systems
  • Professional communication skills in English (written and spoken)
  • A willingness and ability to travel internationally-approximately 50% of the time
  • A calm, solution-focused mindset when working in complex or time-sensitive environments
  • An openness to learning, working with others, and adapting in a dynamic environment

Please note: applicants must already hold valid EU work authorization. Unfortunately, we are not able to sponsor visas for this role.

What we offer

  • A stable, long-term role in a company known for technical innovation and international projects
  • A competitive base salary at €3,200/month (in line with collective agreement, with the potential for overpayment based on experience)
  • Additional travel allowances-up to €1,250 net/month, plus other travel-related compensation
  • Opportunities for ongoing learning, development, and advancement
  • Benefits such as a company pension plan, health support services, and a company doctor
  • Flexible working hours, a supportive team culture, and strong internal development pathways
  • Family-friendly programs, on-site services (like meals and parking), and regular team events

If this sounds like you

We're looking for someone who wants to work on meaningful, hands-on projects that span continents. Someone who's not just technical, but thoughtful and adaptable-who can be part of a team that turns complex software into something that works in the real world.

If you're curious, qualified, and ready to take the next step, we'd love to hear from you.
