Zusammenfassung

Siemens Energy is looking for a Commercial Project Manager in Linz to serve as the financial partner to the project leadership. The role covers controlling, risk/contract management, and stakeholder coordination across the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in commercial project roles within industrial or engineering settings, with strong SAP and Power BI skills and fluency in German and English. The position offers growth and international exposure.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in a commercial project management, project controlling, or financial analyst role.
• Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or engineering environment is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite and SAP is strongly preferred; experience with other IT tools for data analysis (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
• Fluent in both German and English (written and spoken).
• Effective financial management capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and invoicing to support accurate financial planning, monitoring, and reporting.
• Project management capabilities, including project scoping, risk and stakeholder management, comprehensive project documentation, and strong coordination to ensure timely and successful delivery.
• Well-developed behavioral capabilities, including critical thinking, accountability, collaboration, and negotiation skills to support effective decision-making and teamwork.

Aufgaben

• Commercial Project Controlling & Financial Management tasks including forecasts, calculations, and evaluations.
• Post-calculations and single-project controlling to analyze profitability and performance.
• Analyze cost development and deviations from budget; define corrective actions.
• Create and deliver regular commercial reports and financial status updates.
• Support month-end closing activities in line with accounting standards.
• Act as primary commercial partner to the technical Project Manager on financial matters.
• Conduct commercial risk evaluations with sales and technical teams.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, regulations, and governance frameworks.
• Manage invoicing, claims, and change orders diligently.
• Organize project reviews and status meetings; drive process digitization and improvements.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, and supply chain for seamless execution.

The Commercial Project Manager (f/m/d) will act as the key financial partner to technical project leadership, responsible for ensuring the commercial and financial integrity of projects from initiation through completion. To fulfill this objective, the position is structured around three core areas: comprehensive Commercial Project Controlling & Financial Management, proactive Project Risk & Contract Management, and collaborative Stakeholder Management & Process Improvement.

  • Prepare and manage project calculations, financial forecasts, and evaluations throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Organize and lead project reviews and status meetings with the project team and management to ensure alignment on commercial topics.

What You Bring
