Our portfolio spans four market-leading residential building brands, a large-scale land development operation, mortgage broking, spirits production and sales, and life sciences. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing executive team and make a significant impact in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Actively contribute to the Group’s strategic decision-making, providing insights and guidance to shape our future direction.
  • Financial Planning and Reporting: Lead the finance department in delivering timely and accurate budgets, financial reports, and performance analysis to support data-driven decisions.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure the Group complies with all statutory and financial obligations, maintaining the highest standards of governance and accountability.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive efficiencies and value creation through lean principles, ensuring optimal fiscal performance.
  • Risk Management: Identify, manage, and mitigate business and project risks to safeguard the Group’s long-term success.
  • Leadership: Inspire and lead a high-performing finance team, setting strategy and fostering professional growth in alignment with company objectives.
  • Commercial Negotiations: Lead negotiations on key projects to secure favourable outcomes that align with the Group’s strategic goals.

About You

  • A proven track record of delivering commercial success and driving value creation within complex, high-performing organisations.
  • Strong operational expertise, with a passion for implementing lean practices and achieving measurable results.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop talent.
  • Superior problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a focus on practical, common-sense solutions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A self-starter mindset with the ability to adapt, learn, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Personal Attributes:

  • A strong alignment with our core value of improving lives. Ensuring every decision, process, and outcome contributes positively to our organisation, people, customers, and communities.
  • A passion for excellence and continuous improvement.
  • A collaborative team player who can also take the lead when needed.
  • Tenacity to overcome challenges and deliver results under pressure.
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ), with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels.
  • Attention to detail and an unwavering focus on achieving strategic objectives.

Why Join Us?

At the Hickinbotham Group, we offer more than just a career—we offer the chance to make a lasting impact. As CFO, you will:
