Job summary

Erste Digital in Vienna is seeking a Head of Department to shape the cyber and information security capability across the Group. You will own outcomes, people leadership and service maturity, partnering with fraud, payments and IT operations to defend our customers and assets.

You will lead threat and fraud detection, incident response and automation, drive cross-domain improvements, and build scalable security patterns for the Group.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in security operations, fraud prevention, incident response or similar.
• Strong understanding of SOC capabilities, telemetry, detection engineering, threat intelligence and response processes.
• Ability to stay effective under pressure and balance security, customer impact and financial consequences.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and turn strategic intent into concrete delivery across groups.

Responsibilities

• Set direction for threat and fraud detection, detection platforms and response capabilities.
• Improve signal quality, detection coverage and response speed across endpoints, identities, networks, cloud and payments.
• Automate repeatable investigation and fraud-response activities while preserving expert judgement.
• Collaborate with Group Security and fraud/payments stakeholders to align security patterns.
