About the Role

Our client, a reputable chemical manufacturer known for its commitment to quality, is seeking a detail-oriented Chemical Process Analyst to join their Quality Assurance team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. This role is crucial for monitoring and analyzing the chemical processes to ensure consistent product quality and adherence to specifications. The analyst will perform a variety of laboratory tests, interpret results, and collaborate with production and R&D teams to address any process deviations. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine chemical analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring calibration and accuracy.

• Identify process deviations and potential quality issues, and elevate them to relevant personnel.
• Collaborate with process engineers and production staff to investigate root causes of quality problems.
• Contribute to the development and validation of new analytical methods.
• Maintain accurate and organized laboratory records and documentation.
• Prepare reports summarizing analytical findings and trends.
• Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and safety regulations.
• Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
• 2-5 years of experience in a quality control or analytical laboratory role, preferably in the chemical industry.
• Proficiency in various analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, Titration, Spectroscopy).
• Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and methodologies.
• Excellent data interpretation and problem-solving skills.
