Job summary

Valneva SE is a specialty vaccine company seeking a Central Lab Operations Manager to oversee central laboratory aspects of phase 1-4 clinical trials, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and with high quality according to ICH-GCP and applicable regulations.

You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, manage lab materials, logistics, budgets, and documentation, and contribute to QA, risk management, and audit preparations in a global biotech environment with flat

Qualifications

• Technical degree or BA/MSc in natural sciences.
• At least 2 years in operational clinical research.
• At least 1 year of management experience in clinical trials.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for central lab services in trials.
• Contribute to Central Lab vendor selection and contracting.
• Track trial budgets, forecasts and accruals.
• Plan Lab trial timelines and training for staff.
• Set up Central Lab activities per protocol (materials, labels, logistics).
• Oversee sample logistics from interim storage to testing labs.
• Support QA activities and audit preparations.
• Contribute to risk management from setup to close-out.
• Maintain oversight of labs, milestones, and data quality.
• Provide operational backup across all Central Lab activities.
