Job Description:

• Definition of strategic and operative actions for respective categories. Coordination of those measures and formulation in category strategy.
• Development and continuous improvement in the respective categories.
• Active supplier management and supplier development.
• Definition, negotiation and awarding of contracts with strategic suppliers.
• Support of production plants, marketing, R&D, project- and technology category management concerning category relevant issues.
• Influencing the cost structure by early involvement in the product development process.
• Optimization of procurement processes focusing on the relevant materials in coordination with central functions, plants and suppliers.
• Explore, execute and report savings according to guidelines in Sharepoint and in cooperation with internal customers and suppliers.
• Ability to manage complexity.

Your Profile

• Degree in economic or technical studies.
• Several years of experience in Category Management of strategic materials or similar profession.
• Fluent in English and German (written & spoken).
• Ability to build up product and market knowledge for the respective categories.
• Economic thinking and acting and the ability to think beyond the obvious approach.
• Strategic negotiation skills and professional business attitude.
