We have an exciting opportunity for a Category Manager to join our team, where you'll play a critical role in driving commercial impact, innovation, sustainability, and resilience across our supply base.

Key responsibilities
  • Drive Category Strategy: Create, deliver, and execute the sourcing strategy for assigned category including analysing market trends, identifying market developments and conduct category reviews to drive business understanding of these markets and how best to utilise the capabilities of suppliers and industry developments to deliver a competitive advantage.
  • Business Partnership: Act as a strategic business partner—proactively engaging with cross-functional stakeholders (i.e: Commercial, Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance etc) to influence decisions, support innovation, and unlock end-to-end value.
  • Be responsible for a direct materials portfolio in plastics and packaging
  • Demonstrate the ability to influence decisions and challenge the status quo constructively.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives, including RFX processes, supplier evaluation, and contract implementation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive business growth, innovation, and sustainability
  • Manage spend under management, category complexity, and supplier performance to deliver commercial impact
  • Analyse market trends, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure supply chain resilience
  • Lead project initiatives to drive productivity, innovation, sustainability, and risk mitigation
  • Integrate ESG targets into sourcing strategies and supplier partnerships to contribute to Kraft Heinz's global sustainability commitments
About you
  • Proven experience in a procurement or category management role (directs), ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills, with a commercial mindset
  • Ability to influence and engage cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders
  • Experience developing category strategies, leading complex supplier negotiations, and managing P&L
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative mindset
  • Proficiency in Excel and procurement/business systems, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new systems
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline preferred
