Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cafe/ Restaurant Manager to join our team at The Master of Bread Cafe Pty Ltd. in Daw Park, SA. This is a full-time position and will involve overseeing all aspects of our cafe operations, from customer service and staff management to inventory and financial control.

What you'll be doing

• Manage day-to-day cafe operations, including customer service, cash handling, and stock management
• Oversee a team of baristas, servers, and kitchen staff, providing leadership, training, and performance management
• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
• Monitor and analyse sales, inventory, and financial data to identify opportunities for growth and cost-savings
• Collaborate with the broader management team to contribute to the overall success of the business

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a retail or cafe management role, ideally within the hospitality industry
• Minimum 1-2 years of management experience required
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Experience managing teams of 5-10 staff members required
• Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills
• Proficient in financial management, including budgeting, inventory control, and cost-cutting
• Thorough understanding of food safety and health regulations
• Food Safety Supervisor certification required
