Zusammenfassung

Hug Engineering AG is seeking a skilled CAD design engineer to lead the mechanical design of exhaust aftertreatment systems. You will generate project-specific layouts and production drawings, collaborate with steelwork suppliers, and support multiple departments across a global team.

The role requires a degree in CAD/mechanical engineering and at least 5 years of CAD design experience, with Autodesk Inventor and PDM/PLM familiarity; welding design experience is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in CAD/ mechanical engineering or comparable.
• At least 5 years of professional experience as CAD design engineer.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software; Inventor advantageous.
• Experience with steelwork design and welding constructions.
• German and English written and spoken; Italian or Dutch advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Technical responsibility for the mechanical design of exhaust aftertreatment systems.
• Generation of project-specific layout, approval and production drawings.
• Regular collaboration with steelwork suppliers.
• Technical support of sales, project management, purchasing, quality, and service.
• Initiate and manage development projects and participate in project teams.
• Ensure compliance with standards and guidelines (UL, ASME, AWS, DIN, EN, ISO, …).
• Contribute to product development and standardization efforts.
• Support DFM/DFMEA and HAZOP processes.

• Support Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis/ Hazard and Operability Analysis

YOUR PROFILE

• Successfully completed degree as CAD/ mechanical engineer or comparable
• At least 5 years of professional experience as CAD design engineer
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software for mechanical design; experience in Autodesk Inventor is an advantage
• Familiarity with PDM/PLM and structured BOM management
• Relevant experience in steelwork design, in particular welding constructions
• High degree of autonomy and reliability
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Hands-on mentality and a structured and methodical way of working
• Good written and spoken skills in German and English, Italian or Dutch is an advantage
