AST Networks Australia is a UK-headquartered satellite communications provider with operations in WA and QLD. The business is expanding in Queensland and the Northern Territory, shifting from hardware sales to solutions and managed services. Serving mining, oil & gas, government, defence, and utilities, AST is focused on strategic partnerships, customer intimacy, and driving new business growth in this key market.

Description

Drive new business development across Queensland and the Northern Territory, focusing on mining, oil & gas, government, defence, and utilities.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring account growth and client intimacy.

Develop and execute territory sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives.

Collaborate with technical, pre-sales, and customer success teams to deliver tailored solutions.

Manage a mix of major accounts (20%) and new business acquisition (80%).

Achieve sales targets by building a strong pipeline and converting opportunities into long-term partnerships.

Qualifications

5-8 years of proven sales or business development experience, ideally in satellite communications, ICT solutions, or managed services.

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop and execute territory growth strategies.

Track record of winning new business while managing and growing key accounts.

Comfortable engaging with both IT managers and C-level executives to influence decision-making.

Self-motivated, adaptable, and proactive, with the ability to operate autonomously and drive results.

Industry exposure to mining, oil & gas, energy, government, or defence markets is highly desirable.
