The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager – Foodservice (QLD) to join our dynamic Sales & Marketing team.

This is a pivotal, high-impact role suited to a proactive self-starter with a passion for sales, relationships, and growth. You’ll be responsible for driving business development across the Brisbane Metro area, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, and NSW Northern Rivers. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales and Marketing—a supportive mentor committed to your success—you’ll be a key contributor in achieving our ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

· Strategic Account Management: Drive business with key distributors and end-user accounts, identifying joint opportunities for range growth and market penetration.

· New Business Development: Proactively identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities across your territory.

· Territory Planning: Execute structured call cycles to ensure broad customer engagement and pipeline momentum.

· Product Evangelism: Deliver compelling product presentations, support trade shows, and accompany distributor teams in-field.

· Customer Support: Provide timely and effective support for enquiries related to pricing, product availability, and usage.

· Data-Driven Decisions: Use our CRM system to maintain accurate reporting, track performance, and develop actionable insights.

· Industry Engagement: Represent Bakers Maison at key industry events and be available for occasional travel and after-hours engagements.

What You Bring

· 3+ years of proven B2B sales experience, ideally in foodservice, with experience working with distributors and end-users

· Demonstrated success in developing new business and growing existing accounts

· Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills

· Strong commercial acumen with an analytical mindset

· Proficiency in CRM systems and sales reporting

· Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and proactive

· Highly regarded: Background in bakery or strong understanding of bakery product categories

· Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
