Amer Sports Corporation in Altenmarkt im Pongau is seeking a Business Controller to partner with our Production team, turning financial insights into actionable decisions that drive performance.

You will own budgeting, forecasting, and planning for production, manage standard costing, and lead month-end closes while providing clear variance analyses and strategic recommendations across the site and brands.

Formación

• 3–5 years in Finance / Controlling in manufacturing.
• Strong link between finance and production processes.
• Fluent German and English.
• Proven SAP and Excel proficiency; Oracle/FCCS a plus.

Turn numbers into impact. As a Business Controller, you’ll partner with our Production team in Altenmarkt, connecting financial insights with the people, processes and products behind our business. Your expertise will help us make better decisions, improve performance and keep moving forward.

What you will be doing

• Act as a Business Partner to Production and Management, providing financial insights, challenging decisions and supporting strategic and operational topics.
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for the production activity, including relevant P&L and balance sheet items.
• Manage standard costing for finished goods, coordinating inputs with Planning, Purchasing and other stakeholders.
• Lead the month-, quarter- and year-end closing and reporting, including variance, overhead and OPEX analysis.
• Develop and drive financial benchmarks and performance indicators across production sites and functions to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support strategic planning, business cases and improvement projects with financial analysis and recommendations.
• Drive continuous improvement of controlling, reporting and planning processes and collaborate with Brand and HQ Finance in Austria.
• Act as a key contact for governmental funding and support, including the preparation and coordination of related requests.

What you need to succeed

• 3–5 years of experience in Finance / Business Controlling, with solid experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of how finance connects with production processes and operational performance.
• Excellent German and English communication skills – both are essential for this role.
• Solid experience with SAP and MS Excel; knowledge of Oracle/FCCS is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand and explain complex financial topics to business stakeholders.
• A genuine Business Partner mindset – proactive, hands-on, collaborative and comfortable challenging the business constructively.
• Strong communication, networking and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and cultures.

Remuneration is based on the collective agreement for employees in the wood industry. An appropriate overpayment is offered, depending on your individual qualifications and professional experience, as well as development opportunities within a globally operating corporate group.
