Position: IVF Laboratory

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join us as a Clinical Embryologist in our laboratory. Fluency in English and legal right to work in Austria are absolute requirements for this position, fluency in German is an advantage.

Your Experience

At least three years of hands-on experience in an IVF laboratory, with a demonstrated ability to perform all IVF-laboratory procedures independently:

• all procedures necessary for IVF cycles: medium and dish preparation, egg retrieval, sperm preparation, fertilization assessment, embryo evaluation, cryopreservation and thawing, embryo transfer, ICSI, and assisted hatching.
• all andrology services: preparing semen samples for artificial inseminations and IVF, cryopreserving sperm, and performing comprehensive sperm analysis in accordance with World Health Organization (WHO) standards, preparing TESA and TESE samples for IVF.
• Experience with trophectoderm biopsy is preferred.

Your responsibilities and scope of work

• Ensuring the smooth operation of the IVF laboratory in close cooperation with other embryologists, including ordering supplies and managing resources.
• Maintaining meticulous documentation of lab work and conducting statistical evaluation of laboratory and patient data.
• Participating in quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA), as well as contributing actively to audits and inspections.
• Willingness to work overtime as is common in the field, with the understanding that overtime hours will be fairly distributed among the IVF lab staff.

Your Education

• A completed master’s degree in biology or a comparable scientific field.
• ESHRE Certification as a Clinical Embryologist is preferred; however, a strong willingness to obtain it will also be considered.
