Academic Work is sourcing an Avaloq Technical Developer for a Zurich-based private bank. The role focuses on Avaloq Core parameterisation, development and component ownership within a trading and securities context.

You will work with Avaloq Script, PL/SQL and SQL, pursue ongoing expertise in STEX and trading workflows, and may have the option to work remotely. Relocation to Zurich, Switzerland is expected if needed.

Qualifikationen

• Avaloq certification (ACCP / Avaloq Certified Customization Professional or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with Avaloq Core, preferably parameterisation or customization.
• Experience with Avaloq Script, PL/SQL, SQL or comparable development tech.
• Technical or quantitative degree in CS, SE, engineering, or related field.
• Proficient in English.
• Willingness to relocate to Zurich, Switzerland if not based there.

Are you at the beginning of your Avaloq career, already certified and have gained your first hands-on experience with Avaloq parameterisation? Then I have an interesting opportunity for you in Zurich with a private bank.

The bank is an established Swiss private bank with an international environment and a strong focus on wealth management. The technology team is currently developing and improving several areas of its Avaloq Core Banking Platform, including trading and securities-related components.

About the role

As an Avaloq Technical Developer, you will work directly on Avaloq Core, take responsibility for assigned components and gradually develop deeper expertise in trading and STEX.

Work tasks

• Avaloq Parameterisation – Configure and adapt Avaloq Core components based on business and technical requirements.
• Development – Develop and maintain Avaloq functionality using Avaloq Script, PL/SQL and related technologies.
• Component Ownership – Take responsibility for assigned Avaloq components and support them throughout their lifecycle.
• Testing & Troubleshooting – Analyse technical issues, implement fixes and support testing and releases.
• Trading & STEX – Build your knowledge of STEX, trading workflows, order processing and related securities components.

Must-Haves

• Avaloq certification, for example ACCP / Avaloq Certified Customization Professional, Certified Avaloq Professional or a comparable Avaloq technical certification.
• First hands-on experience working with Avaloq Core, ideally including parameterisation or customization.
• Basic experience with Avaloq Script, PL/SQL, SQL or comparable development technologies.
• Technical or quantitative education, ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering or a related field.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Willingness to relocate to Zurich / Switzerland if not already based there.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with STEX / Stacks or other trading and securities-related Avaloq components.
• Understanding of order management, transaction processing or securities trading.
• Experience with additional Avaloq modules beyond Payments.
• Previous experience in banking, wealth management or financial services.
