Ovivo Ultra‑Pure Water+ by Ecolab’s Water Technology Solutions is seeking an Automation Engineer to advance automation tooling across a global organization. You will maintain PLC libraries, support large SCADA platforms, and develop IT productivity tools in a cross-functional team setup.

This role emphasizes OT/IT integration, AI-enabled development, and international collaboration with manufacturing sites worldwide, including travel ~20% of the time.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 initiatives and digitalization concepts.

Aufgaben

• Maintain, extend, and ensure quality of PLC libraries and coding standards.
• Support design, configuration, and troubleshooting of major SCADA platforms (System Platform, PCS7, Ignition).
• Develop IT productivity tools for automation teams using common IT languages/frameworks.
• Maintain and develop internal tools on the .NET framework.
• Apply industrial protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, MQTT) for OT/IT integration.
• Leverage AI/LLM tools to accelerate development and improve quality.
• Collaborate with Digitalization team to define global tool strategies.
• Travel internationally to global offices (~20% of time) for cross-site collaboration.
