An exciting career opportunity is now available for an Assistant Front Office Manager (perfect for an experienced Duty Manager looking to take the next step!) to lead our busy Front Office and Food & Beverage teams at the Mantra Terrace Hotel in Brisbane.

The hotel is centrally located, just a short distance from the Brisbane CBD, offering guests a convenient stay. With 85 rooms across three categories, Mantra Terrace Hotel is a compact property full of potential (just looking for the right people to bring it out!).

Managed by leading hospitality management company 1834 Hotels, the successful candidate will be a dedicated, hardworking, and hands-on hospitality professional passionate about driving loyalty, developing teams, managing expenses, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing budgets related to wage costs and ensuring effective staffing rosters;
  2. Gaining comprehensive knowledge of venue facilities and room types;
  3. Driving growth through marketing, upselling, and staff training;
  4. Ensuring reservation accuracy, including deposit, billing, credit details, VIP requests, and guest information;
  5. Maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients and establishing new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A responsible, flexible, and proactive approach to work;
  • Strong financial acumen in managing profitability and controlling wages;
  • Previous experience leading and mentoring a Front Office team;
  • Initiative, commitment, and passion for hospitality;
  • Effective communication skills with team members and other departments;
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Impeccable presentation and grooming;
  • Understanding of Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020 compliance;
  • Strong adherence to workplace safety standards.

This is a full-time salaried role, involving shifts over a 7-day roster, including weekdays, weekends, nights, and public holidays.
