Associate Service Engineer - Process Control Systems
About the Role
We are seeking an Associate Service Engineer to support service, maintenance, and technical support activities for DeltaV distributed control systems (DCS) and related automation solutions.
You’ll work under the guidance of experienced service engineers, helping diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and communication faults while building deep expertise in DeltaV platforms, service contracts, and support offerings.
This is an ideal entry-to-mid-level role for technically minded engineers who enjoy hands‑on troubleshooting, customer-facing work, and structured career development in industrial automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support service, maintenance, and repair activities on DeltaV systems and associated components.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and communication faults.
- Perform routine maintenance, system health checks, and documentation activities on control systems.
- Participate in system acceptance tests (FAT/SAT), installations, commissioning, training, fault diagnosis, and corrective maintenance at customer sites.
- Support hardware and software upgrades, modifications, and system configuration tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional working environment on‑site and in the office.
- Build technical knowledge of DeltaV systems, products, and service offerings, including service agreements and support packages.
- Continuously develop technical and professional skills through training, mentoring, and hands‑on experience.
- Collaborate with experienced technicians and cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality customer solutions.
- Comply with quality, safety, and compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Technical education or degree in an engineering discipline such as automation, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a similar technical field.
- Strong interest in troubleshooting, problem analysis, and technical customer support.
- Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
- Technical competencies in networking & IT and electrical fundamentals.
- Willingness to work outside regular office hours and take on on‑call duties when required.
- Valid Class B driving license.
