We’re seeking a dynamic Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of high-performing retail stores across Melbourne.

This Monday–Friday leadership role is suited to an experienced multi-site manager with strong financial acumen, proven success in high-turnover businesses, and the ability to inspire senior store leaders.

The Role: As Area Manager, you’ll oversee store operations, performance, and visual standards to deliver profitable growth and an outstanding customer experience. You’ll mentor, coach, and drive your team while also supporting exciting new store openings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead by example, setting management expectations and driving performance
• Coach and develop senior store managers, building succession capability
• Manage key financial KPIs (with conversion a primary focus) to deliver growth
• Partner with stakeholders across head office, distribution, merchandise & buying
• Support stores hands-on, ensuring operational and visual standards are consistently met
• Lead visual set-up of all new store openings

About You

• 3–5+ years’ experience in Area Management within a high-turnover ($20m+) retail environment
• Background in fashion or department store retail strongly preferred
• Strong team performance management skills with proven success coaching senior managers
• Highly commercial mindset — using VM and data-driven decisions to impact sales
• Track record in driving and exceeding KPIs, especially conversion
• Comfortable working hands-on in-store to support and drive outcomes
• Excellent problem solving, decision making, and communication skills
