Job summary

MATIKA in Austria seeks a dedicated project intermediary to guide AI initiatives from initial question to daily use. You’ll translate business needs into technical requirements, coordinate with developers and partners, and keep projects moving with clarity and empathy.

The role demands structured thinking, the ability to reduce complexity without oversimplifying, and the trust of managing directors as well as technical teams.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex projects, preferably in IT, consulting or product management.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into technical terms.
• Clear, binding communication with directors and developers.
• Basic understanding of AI systems and digital transformation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine requirements with customers—what the system should do.
• Define target vision, milestones, and responsibilities.
• Manage implementation with developers and partners—speed, quality.
• Accompany the rollout, ensure end-user acceptance.

AI projects rarely fail because of the technology. They fail because no one acts as an intermediary between the company and the technology. Because requirements remain unclear. Because the rollout is forgotten once the system is "finished".You are the person preventing that.At MATIKA, you guide clients through the entire process—from the initial question, "Where can we meaningfully use AI?" to the moment the system is actually used in everyday life. This requires structure, empathy, and the ability to reduce complexity without downplaying it.

Your tasks

• Develop and refine requirements with customers — what should the system really be able to do?


• Clearly define the target vision, milestones, and responsibilities


• Managing implementation with developers and partners — speed, quality, transparency


• Accompany the rollout, ensure acceptance among end users


• Managing multiple projects in parallel without losing track

What you bring

• Experience in managing complex projects, preferably in IT, consulting or product management


• Ability to explain technical concepts in an understandable way — and to translate customer requirements into technical terms


• Clear, binding communication — with managing directors as well as with developers


• Basic understanding of AI systems, automation and digital transformation
